As we continue to navigate through a pandemic I have begun to reflect on what it means to adapt, grow and change with what our lives throw at us.
March 17th was my first day working from home. I was scared, upset and confused about what would come next. Now here we are September is right around the corner. Personally, I have faced so many struggles during this time. I am sure others have as well.
We live in a time that is all about adapting, changing and pivoting. We may not do it gracefully but here we are 6 months later stumbling through the chaos. I like many, am still working from home and practicing social distancing in order to remain safe and keep my loved ones healthy.
Here is what I have learned since being home:
- Spending time outdoors is so important -it helps me remain grounded and relieves stress.
- Journaling every day helps you understand your emotions and get them out in a healthy way.
- Reading – it’s not only a great way to spend time but it helps us escape our realities, learn and grow.
- Meditate – this is pivotal for me. I enjoy Lacy Phillips pathway but there are so many resources out there. Mindfulness and moments of peace are extremely helpful when you are not feeling yourself.
Don’t put so much pressure on yourself during these times. We are all going through this together. Let’s grow and move forward into a better world with an expanded heart.
